Coda Piano School teaches children, teens and adults at 2714 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Choose one-on-one piano lessons or small beginner groups for ages 4–6, with a trial to help find the right fit.
Private lessons follow the student’s pace and goals. Group classes offer a structured introduction for young children who may not yet be ready for one-on-one study.
Private / weekly
30-minute piano lessons
$260 per month
A focused starting point for many beginners and intermediate students, including children, teens and adults.
Tuition is billed monthly. Private-lesson recital participation is billed separately. Contact the school to confirm current openings, tuition and the recommended format before enrolling.
Readiness is about attention, interest and comfort following instructions—not age alone. Coda’s group classes are designed for ages 4–6. A trial can help the school recommend group or private instruction for your child.
For adult beginners and returning players
You do not need previous experience to start. Private lessons can introduce rhythm, reading, hand position and simple pieces, or help returning pianists rebuild skills and explore music they enjoy.
For intermediate and advanced pianists
Lessons can develop technique, musical expression and more demanding repertoire. Students preparing for recitals, auditions or competitions may benefit from a longer lesson; discuss your goals with the school.
Practice between lessons
Plan for regular practice at home. An acoustic piano or weighted-key digital piano supports progress. Ask the school about an appropriate starter instrument before buying one.
